For the past few months, I’ve been following the case of the murdered Meredith Kercher in Perugia, Italy. She had been brutally murdered in her own house, a place supposedly to be saved for the young lady. And one main suspects, or should I say two…are Amanda Knox and her then-boyfriend, Italian Raffaelle Sollecito.
One thing that saddened me with this whole scenario is that Amanda Knox actually became popular, and as said by Meredith’s family, she…the victim has been forgotten. Really, it’s just too painful to actually read that. I could never imagine the horror and the feeling of hurt that the Kercher’s family has been through. Honestly, I have no idea why the media highlighted more on Amanda Knox. Some people said because she is beautiful, some said because she is an American…whatever the reason is, it seems that I cannot really understand.
And now, Amanda Knox has been cleared of murdering Meredith Kercher, a result that still left me dumbfounded. I’m not saying that Amanda Knox really is guilty for I don’t know the truth, but now the Kercher’s family is back to the question of “If Knox is not the murderer, then who is?”, “What can we do now?”, “Will there be any justice for Meredith?”
For the Kercher’s family, my greatest condolences to you. I know that no word can sooth your pain and no word can make you stop crying, but I do hope that you will be strong. And I hope you would never quit your struggle of finding the truth and justice for Meredith.
As for Amanda Knox, I’m not going to write anything more about her as the media has been written about her since 4 years ago. One thing I can say, only God knows whether she really is guilty or not.
