Just finished watching Orthros no Inu, AGAIN!! I think I’ve watched it more than 3 times already. And seriously I cannot get enough of it. It’s my favorite!!! Some people said it was just a combination of Death Note and Silence of the Lamb. Owh, spare me…but I just don’t care!! For me, Othros no Inu is Othros no Inu.
Othros no Inu is a story of good versus evil; of power that can turns human being into the most greedy creature on earth, nope…in the universe perhaps; of silence love which is too profound; and of course it’s a story of HOPE. In the world of solitude, only LOVE and HOPE can save a man from the doom.
So, let’s wait no more and let’s check out the synopsis!
Synopsis:
Orthros no Inu is a story of two men with twisted fate. Ryuzaki Shinji (Hideaki Takizaw a) is a criminal claimed to have ruthlessly killed people, he is a dark introvert who does not reveal his true self to others. But what’s shocking about him is that he is in fact ‘The man with God’s hand’. He has the power of healing wounds and illness just by touching the patient.
Aoi Ryosuke (Nishikido Ryo) on the other hand, is the total opposite of Ryuzaki. He is a teacher with a very good heart, he is as kind and pure as an angel. Little did he know that he is actually ‘The man with Demon’s Hand’. He has the power of killing a person by his touch of death. He first used his Demon’s hand when he tried to save Detective Hasebe Nagisa (Mizukawa Asami), an action which shocking not only Hasebe but also himself. From there on, he knows that he is not even close to normal human being.
Detective Hasebe Nagisa (Mizukawa Asami) discovers by coincidence the existence of Shinji’s "God Hand" and Ryosuke's "Demon Hand" and brings the two together. Little did she know that this would cause great disorder to the world and even to her own life...
