Currently addicted to...Nora Elena

Currently i'm soooooo addicted to Nora Elena!!! Nora Elena is a Malay drama produced by Asia Media Content and currently airing at TV3 (7 - 8 pm). And nope, it's not a lakorn. Yeah, yeah i know, i'm a lakorn manic, but hey..it doesn't mean i don't watch Malay dramas/movie...=)

So, why do i love it? Do i need to answer that? Obviously, because of the handsome Aaron Azziz!!! Haha, just kidding!!! I do admit he's one of the reason, but the main reason is of course the storyline. It's novel-style!! Well, since it is ACTUALLY based on novel, so it is novel-style. You know, the unwanted marriage and then they fall in love....that sort of thing. And since i'm so into 'love after marriage' novels such as 'Sentuhan Kasih', 'Ombak Rindu', 'Bicara Hati', 'Pergilah Sepi', 'Kau Yang Satu', 'Aku yang Kau Tinggalkan'..etc.. how can i NOT watch Nora Elena? And also, doesn't it reminds you of lakorns?? Haha!!!

One more reason is the cast. I love Aaron Aziz (ok, i've mentioned it several times already..hehe) and i definitely love Siti Saliha!!! She's one of my favorite Malay actress. Combination of these two?? It just perfect!!! Honestly, i always think that Aaron Aziz is the type of guy in novel and Siti Saliha is the type of main girl in novel. You know what i mean? You don't? Just pretend you do...hehe..

As i mentioned above, Nora Elena is actually based on novel. Yes, and the title of the novel is 'Kasih yang Suci' or in English 'Pure Love'. The author of this novel is Meen Zulaikha published by Alaf 21. I haven't read this. Huwaaa!!! How can i miss reading this??? You know, ever since i found out that Nora Elena is based on 'Kasih yang Suci', i tried to look for it in MPH, Popular or other bookstores, which of course to no avail!! They said, it is sold out...huhu...

So what is this Nora Elena is all about?

Synopsis of Nora Elena:

Nora Elena adalah kisah seorang gadis yang telah dinodai semasa dia berusia 15 tahun oleh seseorang. Nora Elena telah ditinggalkan oleh tunangnya Idham (Zul Ariffin) apabila tunangnya mendapat panggilan misteri yang memberitahu bahawa tunangnya sudah tidak suci lagi. Dalam kekecewaan dan kesedihan yang melanda Nora Elena semasa itu tu, muncul seorang jejaka yang bernama Seth Tan yang berketurunan Baba Nyonya, dia sanggup berkahwin dengan Nora Elena bagi menggantikan tunang Nora Elena kerana segala persiapan perkahwinan dan hari perkahwinan semakin dekat.

Konflik berlaku apabila, Nora dan Seth Tan berkahwin, pada ketika itu barulah Nora Elena dapat tahu bahawa suaminya lah orang yang telah menodainya 10 tahun yang lalu. Malang buat Nora kerana ketika mengetahuinya mereka berdua sudahpun berkahwin dan bakal melahirkan anak Seth. Walaupun Seth sudah memeluk agama Islam dan telah insaf tapi hati Nora Elena yang terluka tetap keras dan tidak dapat memaafkan suaminya tu.

Bagaimana Seth hendak mengatasi sikap benci Nora Elena terhadapnya dan dugaan besar yang harus ditempuhi olehnya untuk memikat hari Nora Elena? Adakah Nora Elena dapat memaafkan Seth?

English Translation:

Nora Elena (Siti Saliha) is a story of a woman who was raped when she was 15 by a mysterious guy. Nora Elena is dumped by his fiancee, Idham (Zul Ariffin) when he got a phone call informing that his fiancee was no more a virgin. Feeling hurt and sad, Nora Elena is at lost. Out of the blue, a savior came into the picture. He is Seth Tan (Aaron Aziz), a Baba Nyonya lineage. He is willing to marry Nora Elena as a replacement of the fiancee.

Nora Elena and Seth Tan finally married but conflicts start to arise when Nora Elena finds out that her husband is indeed the man who raped her 10 years ago. It is very unfortunate for Nora Elena for knowing the truth after their marriage and what's more she is pregnant of Seth's child!! Even though Seth has converted into Islam and had regretted for the thing he had done to her, it seems too impossible for the broken hearted Nora Elena to forgive him!

How can Seth faces the feeling of hatred from Nora Elena and the obstacles to win back his wife's heart? Will Nora Elena ever forgive him?
